Adriatic Foundation and SRK “Breza” Implement Project: “Summer Fishing School – Raising Youth Awareness About Preserving Natural Beauty”
In collaboration with the Sport Fishing Club “Breza” from Breza, the Adriatic Foundation proudly implemented the project “Summer Fishing School – Raising Youth Awareness About Preserving Natural Beauty and Revitalizing Our Waters.”
This initiative brought together a love for nature, youth education, and direct action aimed at protecting river ecosystems.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the experienced and passionate anglers from SRK “Breza,” we successfully restocked the Stavnja River, breathing new life into this natural gem and restoring the freshness it deserves. Restocking is not just a symbolic gesture—it is a crucial step toward restoring the river’s ecological balance and encouraging the local community to continue caring for their natural resources.
A particularly meaningful component of the project was the “Summer Fishing School” for children from the local community. Young participants had the opportunity to learn the basics of fishing, as well as advanced techniques such as spin and fly fishing, directly from seasoned club members. Through outdoor play, hands-on training, and social interaction, the children developed environmental awareness, a sense of responsibility toward nature, and a deep appreciation for rivers—an essential part of our identity.
With this project, the Adriatic Foundation reaffirms its commitment to working with children and youth, protecting the environment, and supporting local initiatives that bring long-term, positive change to the community.
Because when we protect nature – we protect our future.
